Around the Grounds:
Round 9 seen South Augusta get their 2nd win of the season with a win over the Lions in a game that was dominated by Trent Ritter with 7 goals. They deserve this win with the Lions challenging at times, but the South side had the fight and determination to hold them out in the end.
Solomontown dominated the game against West Augusta with another big win. Caputo with 7 goals and Bearman with 6 goals both had a good day at the office.
Port also had a good win over Central Augusta in a game which in their eyes would not have been one of their best displays this season as they could not get their running game going on the smaller ETSA oval.
As we see leading into the bye round after this week, Solomontown & Port are well in front of the other 4 sides. The Lions are sitting in third with 8 points while Central, West & South are all sitting on 4 points. The second half of the season will be for very interesting viewing with the bottom 4 sides jockeying for 2 positions in the 4.
