A Special Multicultural Round Moment
Solomontown’s League player and U15s coach Jaiden Warne proudly wore his new boots during the SGFL’s Multicultural Round clash against Port, boots that carry a special story of culture, connection and community.
The boots were brilliantly designed and painted through a collaboration between Jaiden and local Indigenous artist Judy Crosby. The artwork brings together football and culture, creating a unique design that represents the importance of recognising, celebrating and sharing our diverse community.
The boots were presented to Jaiden by Judy and students from John Pirie High, recognising the shared effort and creativity that went into bringing the design to life. It was a wonderful opportunity for students to be involved in a project that celebrates Indigenous culture and highlights the role sport can play in bringing people and communities together.
Jaiden is pictured proudly showing off the finished boots alongside Judy and Club President Joel Head, with the design making a powerful statement during this year’s Multicultural Round.
A wonderful initiative and a special moment for Jaiden, Judy, John Pirie High, the Club and our wider community, demonstrating that football is about more than what happens on the field; it’s about connection, respect, culture and bringing people together.
