In this week’ 2024 Preliminary Final edition of the Spencer Gulf Football League budget.

In the U15’s this week, we see the Lions take on South Augusta and this should be a real close contest. Last time they met, the Lions came out on top, but Ley will know his side will have to be at their best and will need to run the game right out.

I am selecting the South side to win mainly because of Amos and DiPaolo who both are great players with plenty of league experience which will see them win plenty of the ball in this game.

The U18’s match this week, we see Port and Solomontown do battle, and this contest will see the Port side get on top early and should see them come away with a good win. The Cats will give it their best shot, but will be over powered by the talent that is in this Port side
with players like Crouch, Richards, Luteria, Camporeale, Connelly and Guilin all being quality footballers.

In the Seconds we see the Lions take on the Cats with past games this season being reasonably close. The Lions have been top of the ladder, but last week they were found wanting in the second half with a lot of players running out of steam. They certainly will be
in the game early, but if they do not play the 4 quarters right out, I can see the Cats storming home and taking the points with the right go on and play Port in the Grand Final.
