‘Player of the Week’ Round 2
‘Players of the Week’ are Solomontown’s Jonno Hayes (10) and South Augusta’s Nathan Houston (10):
Jonno Hayes, former Madigan Medalist and a Cats captain, Jonno is the Cats barometer, inspirational and fearless rover with a never give up attitude who is respected by teammates and opponents.
Nathan Houston a former Scotch OC player who has had an exciting SGFL debut season with his new club, Nathan was recruited from Scotch OC along with his Scotch teammates, Eddie Bok & Kyan Eagleton. A former Blackwood FC junior, Nathan has made the move to Souths and is no doubt enjoying playing in the SGFL.

The player(s) with the most votes at the end of the home and away season will win the Coaches Award Player of the Year (SGFL).

Two rounds down, and already it is looking like the top 2 sides will again be Solly’s and Port, with South being the big improvers. West, Lions and Central will certainly not just roll over, as they will work hard to try and make themselves better as the season moves on.
Another reminder, we are still looking for umpires. Boundary, Field and Goal. Yes, it is a paid job. Contact SGFL if you are interested.
This weekend the Cats host the Doggies in the top of the table clash at Pirie, Lions again travel to Central Oval to take on the Hawks and at ESTA Oval South will front the Bloods.
